The competition comes with prizes inclusive of scholarships and laptops, Samsung and Apple ipads for the students with selected entries after all entries have been accessed.
Students of Senior Secondary classes (SS1-3) across the country are encouraged to apply for this contest as it helps to showcase their writing prowess and the prizes to be won are indeed supportive of their academic careers at both secondary and tertiary levels of their education.
Entries are invited from students of Senior Secondary classes (SS1-3) across the country for the National Essay and Poetry Writing Competition organised by the Human Capital Development in Nigeria (HCD).

All entries for essay writing should be 1,000 to 1,200 words, while all entries for poetry should NOT be less than 300 words.
