Applications are open for the Hostwriter Story Prize 2023. The Hostwriter Story Prize highlights exemplary works of journalistic collaboration. They look for work that shows how two or more journalists have collaborated together to realize a story that goes deeper than would have been possible solo.

Hostwriter is an open network that helps journalists to easily collaborate across borders. They support members at all career levels to raise the quality of media coverage by providing local contacts around the globe. All journalists provide work samples by way of professional verification.

Prize

  • Six projects will be awarded with €1,000 each.

Eligibility Requirement for 2022 Hostwriter Story Prize

  • Open to teams of two or more journalists who have worked on a story together and are members of the network.
  • Previous winners of the Hostwriter Prize are not eligible to apply as well as stories published by Unbias the News are excluded from the prize.
  • The stories must have been written, researched and published by November 30, 2022.
  • All the team are members of the Hostwriter platform. Membership is free.

How to Apply

They accept pieces that have been published in every language. If your piece is not in English, submit an appropriate translation in your application.
