African Union CIEFFA 6th Youth Capacity Building Program
The African Union International Center for Girls and Women’s Education is now accepting applications for the 2024 session of the Capacity Building Program for Youth Champions on Gender Equality in Education. This program, overseen by the Department of Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation of the African Union Commission, is now in its sixth edition.
Since its launch in 2017, this flagship initiative of the AU CIEFFA has focused on empowering young advocates for girls’ education. It aims to equip young Africans with the essential knowledge, skills, and tools to promote gender equality in education and inspire them to drive positive change within their communities.
The 2024 session will take place in November in Addis Ababa. This year, the program targets opinion leaders (social activists, youth leaders, web journalists, podcasters, content creators, youth representatives in policy spaces, youth activists advocating for girls & women’s education through social media) from across the continent to amplify the dissemination and implementation of the African Union Campaign, #AfricaEducatesHer.
