Commonwealth Youth Awards 2025 for Excellence in Development Works
We invite young individuals to apply for the prestigious Commonwealth Youth Awards, which recognize and celebrate outstanding young people making a positive impact in their communities.
Supported by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II through the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust (QCT) and in partnership with the Khalili Foundation for the 2025 Awards, this esteemed recognition honors exceptional young leaders driving sustainable development and creating lasting change in their communities.
The Award seeks to highlight the contributions young people are making to development work in the Commonwealth, particularly through the Sustainable Development Goals. It also aims at creating an environment which will encourage and sustain investments in youth-led development.
This will be achieved by motivating, encouraging and challenging young people to set high standards for their work/service at community, national, regional or international levels. The selected winner of the QCT prizes will receive two years of flexible funding as well as coaching opportunities and organizational development support.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Youth Awards 2025, applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Must be a Commonwealth citizen and the development work must be taking place in a Commonwealth member country.
- Be aged 18 to 29 years old
- Must have been involved in development works for at least 12 months as a professional or volunteer.
Selection Criteria
Awards will be decided on the basis of:
- Level of impact
- Level of innovation/fresh approaches to problem solving
- Quality of achievement
- Quality of the evidence provided
- Sustainability

Interested and eligible applicants for the Commonwealth Youth Awards are to visit the official website to register an account, which they will then proceed to make their entries and submit same.
