Study In Ireland: 2023 Government of Ireland Scholarship for International Students

Applications are invited by the Higher Education Authority (HEA) for the Government of Ireland International Education Scholarships 2025.

The offer is open to students from non-EU/EEA countries and is applicable to all fields of study who have an offer of a place at an eligible Irish higher  education institution. A stipend of  €10,000 will be made available for students while the host higher education institution will give a full fee waiver.

This initiative offers 60 scholarships for one year of study at the Master’s, Postgraduate Diploma, or PhD levels to suitably qualified candidates.

Eligibility Criteria for Government of Ireland International Education Scholarships 2025

To be considered for the International Education Scholarships 2025, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Demonstrate a record of outstanding academic achievement.
  • Show excellent communication skills.
  • Evidence of participation in extra curriculum activities. For example: humanitarian work; politics either local, national or international; arts; sports.
  • Possess a strong rationale for pursuing their study in Ireland that indicates how a GOI-IES aligns with their longer-term goals.

Scholarship Benefits

  • A €10,000 stipend for one year’s study
  • A full fee waiver of all tuition and other registration costs at the higher education institution.

How to Apply

Interested applicants for the Government of Ireland International Education Scholarships 2025 are to submit their application via the online application portal on or before the application deadline.

All applications require two references to be uploaded by the applicants via the online portal. It is recommended that candidates submit their applications well before the deadline, to avoid technical issues due to heavy server traffic on the respective day. Applications cannot be submitted once the deadline has passed. No alterations can be made to an application once it has been submitted.
