1. Michael Elliott Award for Excellence in African Storytelling (US$5,000 reporting grant & Internship in UK)

The International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), the ONE Campaign, and the Elliott family are happy to announce a call for entries for the Michael Elliott Award for Excellence in African Storytelling. The award honors up-and-coming journalists in Africa who strive to strengthen people’s voices and illuminate the transformational change taking place on the continent.

2. 2023 Bloomberg Initiative Grant Program – Round 22

The Road Safety Grants Programme has supported organizations advocating for the adoption and implementation of evidence-based policies to protect road users since 2012 and improve vehicle safety standards since 2017. The grants programme is supported by the Bloomberg Initiative for Global Road Safety.

3. 2023 Dr. Christine Blasey Ford Grant (Up to $1,900)

Applications for the Dr. Christine Blasey Ford Grant 2023 are open. The Dr. Christine Blasey Ford Grant will provide up to $1,900 to support innovative work to support graduate students and early career researchers conducting work focusing on the understanding, prevention and/or treatment of the consequences of exposure to traumatic events such as sexual assault, sexual harassment and/or rape.

4. CSI Energy Group OPEN Equity funding program for African women-led businesses.

CSI Energy Group invests in women-led businesses within the energy sector in Africa, growing their business by providing access to funds and expertise to maximize their impact and profitability. The business can also fit into the energy ecosystem or the value chain of CSI Energy Group. It could be supporting the contracting side through the supply of goods or services or be involved in the procurement, production or distribution or support activities (including admin, marketing, tech, HR etc)

5. 2023 Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Program for African Entrepreneurs (Get $5,000 Seed Funding)

The application is open to Africans from all 54 African countries with scalable business ideas or a business that has been operational for no more than 5 years. The Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) is the leading champion of entrepreneurship in Africa. Its objective is to empower women and men across our continent, catalysing economic growth, driving poverty eradication and ensuring job creation. TEF believes the private sector’s role is critical for Africa’s development and that the private sector must create both social and economic wealth.

6. BRAVE Women Grant for Female Entrepreneurs, Lead Firms and Business Associations (Receive between $5000 – $50,000)

BRAVE Women Nigeria in partnership with Wema Bank invites Female Entrepreneurs, Lead Firms and Business Associations to apply for its grant programme. Under the this BRAVE project, female entrepreneurs can access from $5000 – $15000 grant, while women associations can access up to $50,000 (naira equivalent) as matching grant to finance asset (for businesses in Lagos and Abuja only)

Mastercard Start Path Small Business Program is a four-month program for startups to collaborate with Mastercard to scale solutions that drive simple, secure digital experiences for SMEs.
