2022 MTN Nigeria Spelling Bee Competition for Nigerian Primary & Secondary School Students

MTN spelling bee competition is another opportunity for Nigerian students to seek and enjoy. If you’re a student in Nigeria between the age of 9 and 15, then there’s an opportunity for you to apply for the MTN Spelling Bee competition 2022 for Nigerian Primary & Secondary School Students.

The competition is held every year by the boards. It is aimed at promoting education in Nigeria by encouraging young Nigerian students to learn and participate in this program. It is an English language-based competition where students are granted the opportunity to show their English language communication skills and their vocabulary. The scholarship is centered on a hot spelling competition where individuals are given a certain word to spell.

The beauty of this competition is that individuals are granted the opportunity to further their education in their desired courses with the help of the funds provided. In addition to that, the winning school will also be provided with many equipment and other maintenance.

The competition is in three stages

First Stage: The first stage of the MTN spelling Bee competition will be held on the mPulse website. This first round of the competition consists of all the interested applicants who want to participate.

Second Stage: In the second stage of the competition, 1,000 candidates will be allowed to participate. These are the top 1,000 candidates who qualified from the first stage of the competition. The second stage is also held on the MTN mPulse website too.

Third Stage: The third stage and the final of the competition is held online via a video conference. Candidates selected from the second stage of the competition are hereby invited for this final where winners will be selected.

Requirements and Qualifications for MTN Nigeria Spelling Bee Competition 2022

In order to participate in the 2022 MTN Nigeria Spelling Bee Competition for Nigerian Primary & Secondary School Students, applicants must have the following requirements

• You must be residing in Nigeria
• All the phone numbers to be used by the participants must be on mPulse tariff plan. In order to migrate to the MTN mPulse, simply dial *344*1#.
• Applicants must update their profile on the mPulse tariff plan website before starting the competition
• All applicants must have also linked with their parent’s line on the MTN mPulse website
• Each quiz round can only be done once, however, practice test can be done as many times as you want
• There’s a need for an internet connection. Candidates are advised to have a good internet connection before beginning the test to avoid any forms on glitches

Benefits

First Winner

• The first winner of the MTN Spelling Bee competition will be granted a scholarship award worth N2 million. In addition the teacher will be granted the sum of 350,000 cash prize. The winner will also be given 1 smartphone and a laptop too. An mPulse Goody Bag and cartoon of Golden Morn will also be given to the student.

The School he/she represents will be given an MTN education site (ICT Devices), 10 MTN Hynet Flex Routers, and 10 laptops.

Second Winner

• The second winner of the Spelling Bee competition will be granted a 1N million worth scholarship award with a smartphone and mPulse Goody Bag. In addition he/she will be given a carton of Golden Morn. The teacher will be rewarded with the sum of N200,000  cash prize.

Third Winner

• The spelling Bee competition board will offer the sum of N750,000 scholarship award grant to the third winner of the competition with a smartphone, mPulse Goody Bag, and carton of Golden Morn. In addition, the teacher will be rewarded with the sum of N100,000 cash prize.

Fourth Winner– 10th Winner

• The fourth winner of the competition will be placed on an N200,000 scholarship award. In addition to that he/she will be given an mPulse Goody Bag and a carton of Golden Morn. The teacher will be rewarded with the sum of N50,000.

Other winners from 11th to 20 will be granted a 100,000 scholarship and with a carton of Golden Morn and mPulse Goody Bag.

Application time and  Deadline

The round part of the competition starts from 13th September 2022 till the competition is over (by 13th October 2022).
