Are you ready to kickstart your career with a unique international experience? The NATO Young Professionals Programme (YPP) 2024 is now open for applications! This program is designed for young individuals who want to accelerate their career growth through entry-level positions at NATO ¹.
As a Young Professional, you’ll have the opportunity to work in various areas across different NATO bodies, gaining a broad understanding of the organization and developing many competencies along the way ¹. You’ll be assigned to three different NATO bodies over a period of three years, spending one year in each, and get to experience a range of activities across the Alliance.
The Young Professionals Programme offers successful candidates the opportunity to acquire a unique international experience, which will contribute to their personal and professional growth. Participants in the YPP programme will also receive a competitive employee benefit package.

Eligibility Criteria for NATO Young Professionals Programme 2024
To apply for the NATO Young Professionals Programme, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be 21+ years at the time of submitting their application.
- Be a citizen of a NATO member country.
- Possess at least one year of demonstrated professional experience, including full-time employment, temporary assignments and/or internships at the time of application.
- Possess a master’s degree or equivalent from a recognized institution at the time of application.
- Be proficient in one of the two official NATO languages: English or French. A working knowledge of the second is considered an asset. Knowledge of other languages may also be considered an asset for certain positions.

How to Apply for NATO Young Professionals Programme 2024
Applicants must first create an account in NATO’s e-recruitment system before they proceed to submit an application.
Once you have reviewed your responses and submitted your application, you will receive an email acknowledging receipt of your submission. You will be informed via email of the results of the initial assessment in the months following the deadline. Kindly note that applications submitted after the closing date will not be accepted.
