Study in Belgium: 2025 ARES Scholarship for Bachelors and Masters in Continuing Education

The ARES Scholarships give you the chance to enroll in an advanced bachelor’s or master’s degree program, or take part in a continuing education course lasting 2 to 6 months, at a higher education institution within the Wallonia-Brussels Federation in Belgium.

The ARES Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees/Continuing Education Scholarship covers tuition fees, travel expenses, monthly expenses, and exceptional costs associated with visa applications.

Eligibility Criteria for 2025 ARES Scholarship

To be considered for the Scholarship, you must:

• Be a national of, reside in and work in one of the 31 eligible countries (list below);
• Be a holder of:
  • a diploma comparable to a 2 ^nd cycle diploma (300 ECTS credits) from a Belgian university for specialized masters and continuing education courses;
  • a diploma comparable to a 1 ^st cycle diploma (180 ECTS credits) from Belgian higher education for specialization baccalaureates .
• Demonstrate at least two years’ relevant professional experience in an ARES partner country.

Eligible Countries

• In Africa : Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Guinea, Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Morocco, Mozambique, Niger, DR Congo, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda and Zimbabwe.
• In South America and the Caribbean : Bolivia, Cuba, Ecuador, Haiti, Peru .
• Southeast Asia : Cambodia, Indonesia, Nepal, Philippines, Vietnam.
• In Asia : Palestinian territory.

Scholarship Duration and Reward

Number of Awards:

• 130 Bachelor’s and Masters scholarships and 70 continuing education scholarships are available.

Scholarship value/inclusions:

• The scholarship covers international travel expenses, living allowance, registration fees, visa costs, insurance, etc.

Duration:

• Two to twelve months.
