- have a bachelor’s degree to apply for a master’s program and a master’s degree for a PhD program.
- demonstrate proficiency in either English or Japanese.
- be an international applicant seeking admission to Konan University.

Required Documents
To apply, candidates must be ready to submit the following documents;
- Application form (RESEARCH STUDENTS) & Field of Study and Research Plan
- Recommendation letter (Non-copy): It is obliged to be signed by dean of your university you currently admitted and addressed to the president of Konan University.
- Copy of the passport holder’s information page
- Academic transcript at your bachelor course (Non-copy).
- Also a transcript at your master course in case you apply to the doctoral course.
- Certificate of Graduation or Expected Graduation (Non-copy)
- Abstract of thesis
- Certificate of your language proficiency of Japanese or English – TOEFL, IELTS, JLPT are acceptable (In case you don’t have the certificate of them, please consult the KIEC).
How to Apply
To apply for the Konan University MEXT Scholarship, interested and qualified candidates should;

- All required application documents should be submitted to the contact professor by the deadline.
- You must submit all of the required documents, materials including photo data to contact professor no later than 17:00(JST) on 10th January 2025.
- Late application will not be non-accepted. Also, please send the original documents by FEDEX / DHL / EMS in order to reach by 31st January 2025.
