Study in UK: 2025 British Council GREAT Scholarships

Applications are now open for the British Council GREAT Scholarships 2025, inviting suitably qualified international students to study in the United Kingdom for the 2025-2026 academic session.

GREAT Scholarships, one of the prestigious scholarships available for international students to study in UK offers students from 18 countries the opportunity to study abroad by providing up to £10,000 towards their tuition fees for a wide range of master’s courses available in over 70 universities across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Eligibility Criteria for 2025 British Council GREAT Scholarships

To be considered for the British Council GREAT Scholarships 2025, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Applicants must have obtained relevant bachelor’s degree from recognized institutions of higher learning.
•  Be a citizen and resident of an eligible country.
• Be motivated, and have an interest in the proposed subject area.
• Meet the English language requirement of the UK HEI.
• Establish an engagement with the UK as a scholar, through personal and academic fulfillment.
• Be willing to attend a networking event of all UK based GREAT scholars, to discuss experiences and capture perceptions of studying in the UK.
• Be willing to maintain contact with the British Council and their HEI and act as an ambassador for the GREAT Scholarships.
• As an alumnus of the GREAT Scholarships, be willing occasionally to speak to potential candidates about their own experience of studying in the UK.
• Eligible Countries: Bangladesh, China, Egypt, France, Ghana, Greece, India, Indonesia, Italy, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, Vietnam.

How to Apply

• Interested applicants for the British Council GREAT Scholarships 2025 are to visit their choice university’s webpage to find out how to apply for individual scholarships following the instructions given on each universities’ scholarship webpages.
• Successful scholars will be informed by individual universities on the result of their applications. Scholarship funding will be issued to successful scholars by individual universities after registration.
