Ban Ki-Moon Centre for Global Citizens (BKMC) Youth AgriChampions 2024

The Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens (BKMC) is excited to organize the 3rd iteration of the Youth AgriChampions – a Peer2Peer workshop series focused on climate adaptation in agriculture. This initiative gathers approximately 15 young grassroots leaders from the realms of smallholder farming and agricultural entrepreneurship in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, and Zambia.
They will exchange firsthand experiences in adapting agricultural practices to climate change. Scheduled for July 2024, these workshops will enable BKMC Youth AgriChampions to craft a youth demand paper to be presented in prominent political forums by BKMC co-chair and former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. The thematic focus of the 2024 Demand Paper will be “locally-led adaptation for smallholder farming”
