- UI/UX Designer

1. Remote UI/UX Designer
As a UI/UX Designer, you’ll be working closely with our product and engineering teams to design an enterprise web application and intuitive interfaces for features found in online marketplaces, data analytics, and dashboards.

We’re looking for
- 2+ years of experience as a UI/UX Designer or an Interaction Designer, preferably including technical products for both technical and non-technical users.
- Ability to define visual actions (screen transitions & animations, micro-interactions).
- Experience performing user research, user story mapping and presenting results.
- Critical eye for detail to iterate effectively on design improvements.
- Experience creating user-centered design, web app design principles and the value of user feedback/user testing.
- Experience collaborating with designers, developers, and engineers to create intuitive, user-friendly software that excites you.
- Expert knowledge of Design tools (Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite)
- Understanding of color theory, typography, interaction design, motion principles and digital product design.
- A strong portfolio showcasing a broad range of UX/UI and IXD. Web app focus is a plus.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a design or technical field, such as Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, or Design.

2. Remote Software Engineering Internship
We have projects across the stack, from frontend UIs to backend APIs.
Your projects will depend on your background and interests.
We accept applications on a rolling basis; however, the internship will last from early June until the end of August, usually for a duration of 10 weeks, with the option to extend by a week or two.

Desired Qualifications
- Experience with C++ or Python, ideally outside of the classroom (e.g. personal projects, internships, and co-ops)
- University level coursework in computer science (e.g. operating systems, computer architecture, and algorithms)
- Knowledge of software design patterns and best practices
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- A desire to work at a fast-growing fintech startup

3. Remote SEO Internship
You’ll be helping us ideate and execute on SEO, SEM, and related campaigns.
You’ll also get the opportunity to interact with our current and prospective users, as well as across the engineering and product teams at Databento.

Desired Qualifications
- Experience with SEO, SEM, digital marketing, inbound marketing, B2B social media, and/or B2B sales, ideally outside of the classroom (e.g. personal projects, internships, and co-ops)
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, especially for Linkedin, Twitter, and Medium
- Knowledge of CRMs like Hubspot, as well as SEO / SEM tools like Semrush and Google Search Console
- An interest in quant trading, market data, and/or the financial industry
- A desire to work at a fast-growing fintech startup
