European Union CSAS Scholarship (Intra-Africa Mobility Scheme) 2024

Applications are now invited from qualified students to pursue graduate programs with the 2024 European Union CSAS Scholarship (Intra-Africa Mobility Scheme).

Cofounded by the African and the European Unions, the scholarship offers selected African students full scholarships that cover the costs of tuition, accommodation, medical insurance, travel, and a living allowance of €28,440.

The Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme of the European Union has provided funding to support training of graduate students in Central and East African universities.

In this mobility programme five African Partner Institutions and one EU Technical Partner will collaborate in the training of professionals in developing climate smart agrifood systems.

The European Union CSAS Scholarship shall equip students and staff with a comprehensive understanding of climate-smart agrifood systems, incorporating disciplines such as agriculture, environmental science, climate science and socio-economic aspects of food systems.

Eligibility Requirements

• Be an African applicant
• Must be living in Africa as at the time of your application
• Applicants are only allowed to apply to study in an institution outside of their home country.

Scholarship Benefits

• The scholarship includes a subsistence allowance of 1230 € per month for PhD candidates, 890 € for MSc candidates’ 1230 € for Trainees and 2370 € for Staff.
• This will cover travel, insurance subsistence and accommodation.
• Insurance: Insurance coverage (accident, travel, health) will be provided for the duration of the scholarship within the limits of the grant provisions.
