Available Internships
1. Internship – WBTR
Overview: ICMPD is inviting candidates to apply for internships relating to several projects in Ankara and Istanbul. This internship provides students and recent graduates with the opportunity to engage in project activities conducted by the Western Balkans and Türkiye teams.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Aid the project team in executing project activities as per the work plan.
- Assist in editing and formatting documents and engage in administrative tasks such as correspondence with internal and external partners.
- Facilitate meeting organization and travel arrangements.
- Contribute to the preparation of summaries, graphs, and presentations supporting various project activities.
- Maintain documents according to the project filing system.
- Provide administrative support for the implementation of project communication activities.
- Assist in procurement processes adhering to ICMPD rules and procedures.
- Support the project team with any other necessary tasks.
Skills Development:
- Gain autonomy in undertaking small assignments.
- Grasp operational and project support dynamics.
- Enhance understanding of ICMPD and project implementation within the organization.
- Develop document writing and formulation skills.
- Acquaint oneself with project design and delivery mechanisms.
- Network with ICMPD colleagues.
Qualifications and Experience:
- University degree.
- Fluency in Turkish and English.
- Basic understanding of project administration and project implementation.
- Currently enrolled in a postgraduate course or a recent graduate.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in standard office software (Word, Excel, etc.).
Compensation: A monthly fee of EUR 300,00 will be provided, along with accident insurance for the internship duration. However, travel expenses will not be reimbursed, and health insurance remains the responsibility of the incumbent.

2. Internship – EU training support to Libya’s border security and management institutions (EU-BMT-LY)
Overview: ICMPD is seeking candidates for an internship related to the EU training support to Libya’s border security and management institutions (EU-BMT-LY) project. The project aims to improve migration and border management in line with core international human rights standards.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Support the project team in organizing activities and events, including workshops, meetings, and training.
- Assist in preparing relevant documents for activities and missions.
- Attend meetings and develop meeting minutes/reports.
- Conduct desk research and collect background information.
- Translate, edit, and proofread documents in English/Arabic and English/French.
- Support communication and social media efforts.
- Draft routine correspondence.
- Provide general administrative support as required.
Incumbent Profile and Corporate Qualifications:
- Demonstrated interest in migration.
- Good organizational and administrative skills.
- Excellent knowledge of English, Arabic, and French (verbal and written).
- Familiarity with the Libyan context is an asset.
- Ongoing university studies or recent graduation.
Compensation: A monthly fee of EUR 500,00 will be provided, along with accident insurance for the internship duration. However, travel expenses will not be reimbursed, and health insurance remains the responsibility of the incumbent.

3. Internship – Policy and Liaison
Overview: ICMPD is offering an internship position within the Policy and Liaison unit, based in Brussels, Belgium. The unit is responsible for liaising with EU institutions and providing analysis of EU policy developments to the organization.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Support the organization of international meetings and events in Brussels.
- Assist with liaison activities with European Institutions and stakeholders.
- Help prepare substantive outputs such as research data and analysis.
- Assist in mission preparations.
- Perform other duties as required.
Incumbent Profile and Corporate Qualifications:
- Excellent command of English.
- Knowledge of migration issues and EU institutions.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
- University degree in relevant field.
Compensation: A monthly fee of EUR 500,00 will be provided, along with accident insurance for the internship duration. However, travel expenses will not be reimbursed, and health insurance remains the responsibility of the incumbent.
4. Internship – PRS Events Team
Overview: ICMPD is seeking candidates for an internship within the PRS Events Team, based in Vienna, Austria. The team is responsible for organizing governance and high-level institutional events.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Assist with event organization and logistical matters.
- Support administrative tasks such as correspondence and database management.
- Contribute to post-event processing.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Incumbent Profile:
- Relevant work experience in an international organization or related field.
- Strong organizational and management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues from different backgrounds.
- Excellent diplomatic skills and flexibility.
- University degree or currently enrolled in relevant field.
Compensation: A monthly fee of EUR 500,00 will be provided, along with accident insurance for the internship duration. However, travel expenses will not be reimbursed, and health insurance remains the responsibility of the incumbent.
