UMMIS International Student Scholarship 2024
The UMMIS International Student Scholarship is for eligible international students to enjoy a fully funded award that will cover the full fees of their tuition, accommodation, living expenses, research costs, and the cost of travel for international applicants.
Universitas Negeri Malang International Student Scholarship (UM-ISS) is a prestigious scholarship offered by UM to provide access for highly qualified international students around the world to pursue a degree program at UM, Indonesia.
This scholarship consists of 4 schemes as follows :
- Scheme 1
- Scheme 2
- Asean Research
- BIPA Teachers
Each scheme offers different scholarship coverage for highly qualified international applicants to pursue their bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in Universitas Negeri Malang, Indonesia.
The program facilitates scholars and students from around the world to experience not only the dynamic of higher education in Indonesia, but also the vibes of Indonesian cultural diversities.

Eligibility Requirements
- Be newly applying to Universitas Negeri Malang
- Be an international student
- Maintain a record of good academic performance
- Apply as appropriate before the deadline
Benefits
Depending on the degree being pursued by the selected applicants, the scholarship will cover;

- BIPA Course (Bahasa Indonesian Language)
- Accommodation

- Health Insurance
- Living Cost
- Research Allowance
- Round Trip Flight Ticket
It is disbursed for a maximum period of 5 years for Undergraduate, 3 for Master’s, and 4 years for Doctoral (inclusive of language program), on condition that the scholarship awardee maintains a record of good academic performance, obtains a recommendation from 2 lecturers, conduct compliant with university codes, etc.

How to Apply for UMMIS International Student Scholarship
To apply, visit the scholarship application on the UMMIS website by clicking the apply button. Then proceed to the UM ISS website to
- create an account,
- fill in all the data,
- check your email and activate your account.
Proceed by going to the ‘Registration Status’ page, then
- choose “degree” in the registration type,
- choose your desired scheme and degree,
- add your details
- and complete the required information about your educational background.
- Upload all required documents.
Click the ‘Submit’ button once you’ve completed the process.
