University of York is delighted to offer Equal Access Scholarships for undergraduate students who are seeking refuge in the UK for the 2024 – 2025 academic session.
The scholarship provides a full fee waiver (you will not need to pay any tuition fees) and a maintenance award of up to £12,300 to help with living costs.

Please note that you must have applied to the University of York before submitting an application for this scholarship.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants are expected to meet the following conditions:
- Applicants must be international students
- Applicants must have a conditional or unconditional offer from the University of York for 2024
- Applicants must have applied for asylum before you have applied for a place at university
- Applicants must not have access to mainstream funding e.g. student finance or a local authority grant.
How to Apply
Eligible applicants seeking for University of York Equal Access Scholarships should apply to the University of York to study an eligible undergraduate course. Please see our ‘eligibility’ section to see courses exempt from the scholarship and advice on courses with work placements e.g. nursing, midwifery, and social work.
