Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation AIG Public Leaders Programme 2022 for Mid-career African Public Servants
Are you a senior public servant in Africa? Are you interested in improving your leadership qualities? The Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation is now accepting applications for the second class of its AIG Public Leaders Program 2022 offered in partnership with the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford.
This unique 7-week program offers senior public servants an immersive executive education experience aimed at strengthening the skills they need to build cultures of excellence, effectiveness, and integrity throughout the institutions they lead. Program graduates are able to enhance their countries’ development through improved governance and public policy creation.
The Programme aims to strengthen the skills that rising senior public servants need to build cultures of excellence, effectiveness, and integrity throughout the institutions they lead and across the public sector. It comprises seven weeks of world-class training led by an excellent faculty from the University of Oxford, who through a blend of online sessions and classroom discussions, simulations, real-world exercises, and group work, provide participants with an unparalleled opportunity to develop the conceptual frameworks and practical tools they need to meet the challenges of today’s rapidly changing and complex world.

Scholarships will be awarded by the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation to 100 African public servants for the 2022 cycle of the Public Leaders Programme.

Eligibility Criteria For Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation AIG Public Leaders Programme
- Open to Mid-career African public servants
- Applicants are required to have a minimum of seven years of active service in the public sector and occupy a Directorate level position.
To be eligible for consideration, candidates must:
- Be citizens of any African country and actively working within the public sector in Africa
- Have a minimum of seven years of active service in the public sector
- Be at a Directorate level
- Provide evidence of game-changing leadership qualities and abilities
- Provide a letter of endorsement from the ministry, department, or agency for which they work
- Provide a record of promotion within the ministry, department, or agency for which they work, recording promotions over the most recent five (5) years.
Judging Criteria
Only the best public sector executives from across Africa will be selected to participate in this program. Entry to the program is very competitive. The final admission decision rests with the University of Oxford’s Blavatnik School of Government.
Candidates will be chosen based on their public sector experience and achievements, proven leadership qualities, intellectual abilities, and personal motivations and ambitions.
How To Application
The letter of endorsement affirms that the candidate is the right fit for the program and, if shortlisted, the applicant will be allowed to participate in all program activities.
Letters of endorsement should be prepared using the Ministry/Department/Agency’s letterhead and the letter should be addressed to:
