Placing questions of differential vulnerability and environmental justice at the center, the ISCM unpack topical themes throughout weekly lecture and seminar sessions each week. We will be accepting a maximum of 50 participants at the ISCM in 2023.
Attendance, participation and engagement expectations on International School on Climate Migration
We expect our participants to attend both the lecture and seminar sessions every Monday and Wednesday respectively for the duration of the six-week program. We understand that busy schedules may, on occasion, conflict with the sessions but want to emphasize the importance of regular attendance for the cultivation of an enriching space for all.
ISCM participants will be expected to come prepared to seminar sessions each week by completing reading assignments and engaging through our online discussion forum.

For chats, help and support, Join our Telegram Community.ISCM participants will be expected to undertake a capstone project, developing skills and practical experience by working in small groups while at the ISCM. More information about the capstone project will be made available to participants upon enrollment. However, applicants can expect to spend a reasonable amount of time meeting with peers and working on capstone assignments outside of the weekly sessions. Don’t worry – the capstone project is intended to be more exciting than stressful!
Program Fees & Financial Assistance for International School on Climate Migration
While we wish that we could offer the ISCM free of charge, a lot of hard work goes into making the ISCM possible, and we believe it is important to support the team who makes it all happen!
The ISCM will be offered at an accessible rate to all participants. Selected applicants will be expected to confirm their enrollment and pay the respective fee shortly after receiving an enrollment offer.
The program fees have been set at the following categorical rates:
- Student rate: $250.00 USD – applies to postgraduate students, recent graduates of a postgraduate degree, and undergraduate students or recent graduates in exceptional circumstances
- Academic rate: $300.00 USD – applies to those pursuing or who have obtained a PhD
- Practitioner rate: $500.00 USD – applies to working professionals

In order to be considered, applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:
