Placing questions of differential vulnerability and environmental justice at the center, the ISCM unpack topical themes throughout weekly lecture and seminar sessions each week. We will be accepting a maximum of 50 participants at the ISCM in 2023.

Attendance, participation and engagement expectations on International School on Climate Migration

We expect our participants to attend both the lecture and seminar sessions every Monday and Wednesday respectively for the duration of the six-week program. We understand that busy schedules may, on occasion, conflict with the sessions but want to emphasize the importance of regular attendance for the cultivation of an enriching space for all.

ISCM participants will be expected to come prepared to seminar sessions each week by completing reading assignments and engaging through our online discussion forum.

ISCM participants will be expected to undertake a capstone project, developing skills and practical experience by working in small groups while at the ISCM. More information about the capstone project will be made available to participants upon enrollment. However, applicants can expect to spend a reasonable amount of time meeting with peers and working on capstone assignments outside of the weekly sessions. Don’t worry – the capstone project is intended to be more exciting than stressful!
