Mastercard Foundation Fully Funded Scholarship at American University of Beirut
The American University of Beirut (AUB), in collaboration with the Mastercard Foundation, invites you to apply for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program for the Fall 2024-25 academic year.
This program offers full scholarships for on-campus and online graduate studies, providing a unique opportunity to make a difference in the world.
The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at AUB is designed to prepare young people to become agents of change. Beyond the regular coursework for their degrees, scholars will engage in a series of workshops, courses, and fieldwork to enhance their skills and broaden their perspectives.

Financial Support
The $9 million AUB Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program aims to empower young adults who are attuned to their community’s needs and proactive in their environments. The program offers:
- Full tuition scholarships
- Accommodation
- Books and computer
- Living expenses
- Medical insurance
- Intensive preparatory courses and SAT courses (as needed)
- Close supervision and academic support
- Community engagement opportunities
Additionally, scholars will benefit from mentoring, career counseling, and internships relevant to their field of study. A unique “give-back” component encourages students to contribute to their communities through various volunteer projects and activities.
Eligibility Criteria
The program is open to nationals of Africa, as well as refugees and displaced individuals living in Lebanon. Undergraduate scholarships are specifically available to nationals of Lebanon or refugees and displaced individuals residing in Lebanon.
Selection Criteria
Selection and admission are based on academic promise, financial disadvantage, leadership potential, and a strong desire to give back and return to one’s community.
How to Apply
- Complete the AUB Online Graduate Application Form after creating an account.
- Upload supporting documents as per the requirements indicated on the online application.
- In the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program box, click on “Apply” to receive the financial survey link specific to this scholarship. Fill and submit the survey before the application deadline.
